Volunteering with us

Whether you want to help give a voice to people in your community or develop your professional skills in a health and social care environment, there are many benefits of volunteering for us.

Updated 24 March 2022

Our health and social care service visits and community based activities have been suspended  for long periods since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic but we are planning to resume ‘in person’ engagement activities from Summer 2022.  If you'd like to get involved with these activities then get in touch using the contact form below. We will also be continuing online events throughout the rest of the year so there are opportunities for volunteers who don't yet feel comfortable doing in-person events in the current climate.

Get involved as a Project Volunteer

As a Healthwatch Liverpool Project volunteer you can support us with a wide range of activities including:

  • Supporting us to design surveys and to collect and analyse data from these surveys.
  • Participate in, take notes and help to facilitate focus groups.

  • Contribute to the write up of focus group reports for publication.

  • Support our staff in interviewing and transcribing interviews undertaken with participants of Healthwatch Liverpool projects.

  • Conduct research and read and summarise reports.

  • Attend online and/or community based wellbeing activities and provide feedback to the HWL team.

  • Proof read our reports and documents and provide feedback.

  • Contact community based services by telephone and email on our behalf.

  • Support us to promote the work of Healthwatch Liverpool via word of mouth and social media platforms.
